Pathways
Year-Round Support. Lifelong Opportunities.
Our work doesn't begin and end with individual programmes. Throughout the year, Third Culture Foundation connects young people and culturally diverse communities with guidance, mentoring, practical experience and opportunities to take their next steps.
Our programmes create opportunities to connect. Our ongoing relationships help people build on those experiences and progress towards their goals.

A Journey that continues beyond the programme
Tesia's Third Culture Story
Tesia's StoryFrom student and volunteer to event management and mentoring
“What made the biggest difference was that my involvement didn’t end after one event or programme.
The team continued to encourage me, mentor me, and give me opportunities to grow.”
— Tesia, Event Management student at AUT (2026)

-
Student Tesia first connected with Third Culture while she was still studying.

-
Volunteer
She gained practical experience and received guidance from members of the team.
-
Increasing responsibility
Over time, she took on greater responsibilities and developed her confidence and skills.

-
University
She is now studying Event Management in Auckland while remaining involved with the Foundation.
-
Giving back
She returned during Kaitiaki Season 1 to share her experiences with participants.
Kade's Third Culture Story
“One of the most important things Third Culture gave me was the freedom to discover who I was as an artist, surrounded by people who believed in me and gave me room to grow. I'd love to be able to offer that same encouragement to someone else.”
— Kade, multidisciplinary artist (2026)

Kade first joined Third Culture through acting workshops. With access to a creative workspace and opportunities to exhibit her art and model at events, she developed her confidence and explored new artistic directions.
She has since pursued further studies and her creative practice in Wellington.
Fund the Work Between the Programmes
Third Culture Foundation delivers youth development, creative and cultural programmes, but our work extends beyond scheduled events.
Maintaining year-round support requires people and resources to respond to enquiries, provide individual guidance, coordinate mentors and volunteers, develop relationships with education and industry partners, and follow up with participants as they progress.
Programme-specific funding makes individual activities possible. Operational funding enables us to maintain the organisational capacity and continuity needed to support people throughout the year.
Your support helps us build a Foundation that remains accessible between programmes, not just during them.

From participation to possibility.
Kaitiaki Season 1 brought 12 participants together over eight weeks to build confidence, communication skills and creative connections through practical workshops and industry experiences. Through PATHWAYS, the Foundation continues to offer guidance, mentoring and opportunities beyond the programme.
